Several years ago, the American Academy of Pediatrics published a position statement on the use of technology by children and adolescents. Most parents (and many professionals) felt the AAP’s position was extreme and, in many ways, unrealistic. Recently, however, the AAP released their revised guidelines, which show a general shift in the field and an up-to-date appreciation of the role technology has in our lives.
