Leicester City Football Club – and professional soccer team in England – is beating the odds. Sitting in first place in the league, if they end the season on top of the league tables, they will have overcome 5000 to 1 odds! According to ESPN, those are the same odds as Kim Kardashian being elected president of the United States in 2020.
Their story is amazing, but the lesson learned is that of perseverance. Pushing through “failures” and disappointments to find a way to succeed – however your choose to define success. In this podcast, Dr. Berney and Dr. Richard talk about the importance of perseverance and determining how to handle obstacles that get in your way. They also discuss how to foster perseverance in your children and how to differentiate between being “stubborn” and being “flexible.”
