Motivation is a phenomenon most of us want to foster, not only in ourselves, but also in our children. But where does motivation come from? How can we use motivation to improve our lives?
In this week’s column we talk about extrinsic motivation, a valuable tool to use when trying to elicit change in some aspect of life. When using extrinsic motivation, you must consider four things; consistency, cost, generalizability, and satiation.
