We all want to be seen as strong, competent, and secure. But for many, that means we should mask or mute our emotions. They feel as though any hint of emotion is a sign of weakness. This is especially true, of course, when we are talking about “negative” emotions, such as sadness or distress. They may feel that showing such emotions will invite competition or attack from others.
In today’s podcast, Dr. Berney and Dr. Richard talk about the importance of experiencing “negative” emotions and how we can use them to make ourselves even stronger.
